Listen! Baking has always been a part of me. I learned to bake at 10 years old from my grandmother, who used it as a way to spend quality time with her grandchildren. Later on, I turned that skill into a hustle in high school. While everyone else was applying to their first job, I was selling brownies Monday through Friday at school.

Fast forward to now. My husband inspired me to start baking cookies. He came home with someone else’s cookies, and I got a little jealous, lol. So I baked him some of my own, and not long after, my baking spark returned. That’s how HoneyBeeMel came to be. The past, mixed with a little bit of the present, has set the tone for my future.

When it comes to flavors, I’m a traditional cookie lover. Novelty cookies are fun, but to me, they feel more like a dessert. My cookies are that “something sweet” you reach for in the afternoon or a treat to share with family. I love sharing the sense of community I’ve always felt through baking and now through cookies.
